  1. Hi MaryStella,

Have you heard of Scott Jurek? He is featured in the book "Born to Run". He is probably the best ultramarathoner in the country. I saw him give a talk a couple of months back. Interesting tidbit for you, he is a vegan too. If you hadn't heard of him, his website might be useful to see how he incorporates training/eating. he said he eats anywhere between 5,000 and 6,000 calories a day!

  2. Hi Dan! Thanks 4 your comment. I have heard of him through Runner's world magazine. I have not yet had a chance to read "born to run" although it is on my must read soon list! I will check out his website for sure. I am vegan for health reasons and honestly one of the things I can say is I recover much faster from workouts than I used to since changing my diet.

  3. Hi MaryStella,

I think my switchover to Paleo is just starting to kick in. Definitely starting to feel like I can recover quickly.

  4. Dan that is awesome news! I also find that if I eat some kind of processed crappy food I don't feel all the well afterwards. The good news if is that feeling really makes me not want to go back to the dark side.

  5. I know what you mean, I usually feel it the next day, although I must say, I still do like it.
